Prerequisites: None, no skills needed to attend. However,
experience flying a small "trainer kite", and some "board
skills" like wakeboarding, or snowboarding will increase your learning
curve in a huge way.
What to bring: All you need is your own wetsuit, booties and a good
attitude. Negative, short tempered, easily frustrated people should look
elsewhere. A warm, full, wetsuit is recommended.
Provided: We Provide the rest! Kites, boards, harness, PFD,
helmet, leash, radio, and expert instruction.
What to Expect: With Kitemare.com and our 3-2-1 Kite school, you
can expect top notch, PASA certified Instructors who really care about your
progress.
You will learn: Terminology, Theory, wind orientation, wind-window, power
zone, neutral zone, edge of the window, rigging a 4-line inflatable kite, kite
tuning, assisted launching, self-launching, water-relaunching, self landing,
assisted landings, self rescue, harness use, flying one-handed, body
drags, flying patterns, water- starts, riding stance, kite care, gear
selection, weather basics, and of coarse... how to ride!!! You will also
learn how to speed up the learning curve, will positive reinforcement. In
short, expect to have a great learning experience.
