Manufacturers Description

Do Anything, Ride Everywhere

The 2010 Waroo allows you to take your Freeriding further, faster and higher than ever before. We’ve added Kahoona like ease of use and Nemesis levels of aerodynamic performance to create the ultimate ‘do anything, ride everywhere’ kite.

The addition of Twister Tech™ and the new Flat-Pack LE construction make the 2010 Waroo more responsive and fun to fly than ever before. Revised canopy profiling delivers huge depower while a new Delta-wingtip design ensures that this will be the easiest relaunching Waroo you have ever owned.

The Waroo 2010 comes with a revised VP3 bridle for perfect stability and ABC Auto Tune for confidence-inspiring versatility and ease of use. Our legendary Surf Tough build quality, 3D Kevlar Airframe and original Canopy Framing ensure your Waroo can withstand any abuse you throw at it.

If your riding style includes a little bit of everything, then the all new Waroo is the perfect kite for the way you ride, nothing else comes close.

Another Prospective

The Best Waroo has been the top selling most popular inflatable in the world.  There are many brands and many models, so being the standout among the pack is a major accomplishment.

I've been a Waroo rider and fan since they 1st hit the market in 2006. With each passing season thereafter '07, '08, '09, the Waroo improve substantially and continued to gain a stampede of raving fans.

With Kitemare.com's primary focus on educating and helping people to learn kiteboarding and progress as fast and as safely as possible, the Waroo has been an easy recommendation.

Most new kiters have the same request.

" I want to buy a kite that will be easy enough for learning, but that I wont grow out of"
" I want a good kite but I don't want to spend to much" "What do you recommend?"

Most intermediate kiters request:

" I can ride, and do some jumps, and now I want a new kite to help me get to the next level"
" I want a kite that I can use for flat water and waves"
" I want a kite that goes upwind really well"
" I want a kite that jumps high with soft landings"
" I want a kite that relaunches easily"
"I want on that's well made, and have a good warrantee"
"I want a good price"

Advanced riders...

Advanced kiters normally call us already knowing exactly what they want and just ask about the changes to their favorite model,  Ask for size recommendation to fit a current quiver, and are just shopping for the price.

For Everyone

For "almost" everyone, whether Beginner, Intermediate or advanced, the 2010 Waroo is an easy choice.

Delta Shape attributes

This past spring '09,  after spending time on the 09 Waroo, I took a spin on the Best Kahoona Delta shape kite, and said.... " I WANT IT!  NOW!"
The Kahoona with its pointy swept back wing-tips, lower aspect ration, stability, and mind blowing easy relaunching was my new favorite kite. I was SURE that I would be riding the Kahoona for years to come.

This newly deigned 2010 Waroo was bred with some of the Genetics of Kahoona and the Nemesis for nice combo of design features.

The point is that The 2010 Waroo is a welcomed mix.

+ Proven Waroo Heritage,
+ Delta stability, grunt, and easy relaunching
+ Nemesis HP "twister tech" for faster response.

Delta

Kites with Delta shapes, or even Delta-ish shapes has some common characteristics.
More power per square meter: due to having less surface area in the wind-tips and more
area at the top of the Canopy increasing the "projected" area.

Fast and easy relaunching:  Most Kite manufacturers are calling this "Auto Relaunching".
A more accurate way to describe this would be " Auto to Relaunch ready positioning".
Auto-Relaunching sounds much better!

The kites shape with its swept back delta style wing-tips allow the kite to quickly roll over
onto its side and then taxi itself over to the edge of the wind-window , Ready and waiting
in the perfect position for relaunch. Then its just a slight pull on the upper wind-tip ( steering)
the kite up and off the water. Soooo easy. : )

Its a GOOD thing that kites do not Truly Automatically relaunch on their own like a helium
balloon. That would be scary!

Bottom line:  The 2010 is a nice all around Kite.  Easy to relaunch, easy to fly, jumps well,
and goes upwind better than most.  The turning speed is good / ok for most people but
some will prefer other faster and tighter turning models like the Kahoona.

Colors

Red, White, Burgundy, Golden-Yellow, Bright Green, Turquoise.
Tip: Save your stress and Cash.  Choose your favorite 2 colors, and make a note of some acceptable alternates.

Kite Only or Complete (with Bar and lines)

Most inflatable kites can be purchased with the bar (complete ) or without the bar and lines. (Kite Only).

If you're a beginner, "Kite Only" may seem strange, like a car dealer selling a car without the steering wheel, gas or brake pedals.   The reason is that some people want to use their 2008 Control bar, or because they may want to buy 2 kites ( like a 9 and 13m) but only 1 control bar to make things more economical.    When shopping for price, be sure to consider the control bar with lines and the kite size.

Bests' SLE Control Bar

Best 2009 SLE Carbon Control Bar with Lines and Safety Leash:  $349
( A release date for 2010 Control Bars has not yet been announced, but probably in Late April after the March release of the 2010 Kahoona.  No Guarantee on the actual date. )

Which Bar should I get.  45, or 55?

45cm Waroo Bar: Ideal for the 7m, and 9m
55cm Waroo Bar: Ideal for the 13m and 15m

Hey, what about the 11m Waroo?
Your choice: 11m works great on both the 45cm and 55cm.

If you're buying 2 Kites, then we suggest getting 2 control bars
(if its within your kite budget).
The 1st time you break a line, or do a self rescue and then spend more than an hour untangling the rats nest you'll understand! It's so nice to have a spare bar and lines ready to go so that you don't have to call it quits for the day.   Just rig up your other bar, and deal with the tangle or break at night or on a windless day.

Core ESP Control Bar

If you want to buy a Proven outstanding Control Bar now, rather than waiting for the 2010 Bar from Best..
The Core ESP Bar.  is what we recommend.  A far better option than the current 2009 Best SLE or Redline Bar.

Inflations Systems

The 2010 Waroo is available with either "EZ Pump" or with a "Standard" inflation Set-up.
It's your choice. Both options have their pros and cons.

EZ Pump:

Also known as one pump.  The Best EZ is an external octopus system that allow you to only insert your pump nozzle one time to inflate the entire kite ( Leading edge and all struts ).
The Nice Advantages. Saves you time since you only have to pump and plug  6 individual valves.

Most Kite models from of the manufacturers have gone to the EZ ( aka One pump, Fast pump, Single point inflation) Systems.  The External Systems are reliable and easy to repair if ever needed.

The Not-So-Good Disadvantages:   EZ pump and all similar systems add weight, They raise the price of your kite, and if you do get a leak it takes longer to find and repair the it.

For some people, saving 3 minutes outweighs the disadvantages.  For other people, like me, saving 3 minutes per kite session is not worth the extra weight, cost, and potential risk.

Standard Inflation

Standard inflation is exactly like it sounds, its the basic standard systems that uses a separate inflation valve for the Leading Edge, and for each of the 5 struts,. A total of 6 inflation valves on the 2010 Waroo.  ( On the Kahoona the total is 5, due to the 4 strut design )

Remember, not everyone would agree.  Some love the EZ and some don't. This is another reason that keeps me returning to Best Kites each season.   Best actually listens to their customers via their Forum ( www.forum.bestkiteboarding.com ) and for this reason offers you options.   Thanks Best!
