Board Length:
When comparing boards, besure you're comparing the same
things. If one company says their board is 106 cm, and another model says its
103cm you would assume that the 106 is longer right? Maybe not!
The reason is specs on lenght are confusing if they don;t specify "Over-all Length"
"Deck Length", or "Axel to Axel Length". No worries, we have it all, nice and organized,

Shorter = better for those that like maneuvers and spins. Also nice for smaller riders.
Longer = more stability for high speed crusiing with a kite or downhill.

Deck Material
Wood or wood Laminate are the least expenisive. Composite decks combining wood and
fiberglass are an excellent way to get nice balance between strength, durability, and low weight. MBS calls their composite mix "Powerlam".

For sure, you can find some other boards on the market for $50 less, but not with
composite deck and the MBS build quality. Other cheaper boards generally use only wood
and normally have a maximum rider weight of 150 to 175.
This Core 90 is a huge value. High end materials and can easily handle riders up to 200 lbs.
Perfect for kiters who prefer a very light board ,skate style trucks, and a shorter deck with a lower swing weight.

for people who are just getting started and want bomber construction.
This model "Core 95"
has a longer than average overall length which make the board
more stable at speed. The same concept can be seen in many sports. Surfers use long narrow "Guns" when riding giant waves at high speed. Down hill skiiers use extra long skiis for the same reason. If you're into riding fast and want the maximum stability, go with a longer board
like this one. Big and tall boys will appreciate the wider stance. Channel trucks ( which some brands call Bionic trucks) are beefier and more tunable than more simple "skate trucks".
Bottom line. With the Core 95, you get the high end without breaking the bank.
Unless you're life revolves around moutainboarding, we don;t see much reason to
spend $500+ on a board when you can get this one for $299.
