1. Please be sure your bar is set-up like the one pictured here.
The top end of the thicker Center line should be tied
off to a small pulley.
A smaller line glides on the pulley wheel.
Your bar may have a Black Plastic or Metal Pulley.
They both work equally well.

The Bell Shaped Red plastic thing below the bar is the "Quick-Releash"
for the Wrist-Leash. This quick-release is ONLY used in the event
you want to Cut the kite 100% free. This release has the same effect
as simply opening the velcro wrist cuff. Both are "secondary".
The Primary safety system, is just "letting go" of the Bar, allowing the
Bar to slide up the center line until it stops upon hitting the "Stopper Ball"
This causes slack in the front lines
and tightening of the back lines to the extent of collapsing the kite.
The Kite will lose its power, fall to the ground, while still atttached
to your wrist. Lose the power, but don't lose the kite.

"Stopper Ball" Limits the distance the bar can slide up the
center line

Once you bar is unwrapped, and lines extended.
Lay the Bar with the Red Side of the bar to the "Left"
Red = Left side ; Blue /Green =
Right side

Your control bar has a
Left line ( Red )
Right Line, ( It looks black in this photo)
Center line which becomes 2 lines above the pulley. forming a " Y "
4 lines total: 2 outside lines ( R & L) and 2
Center lines.
On a "Standard 4-line Foil Kite". the Outside lines from the bar
connect the front lines of the kite.
The Center line(s) connects to the Back lines ( also called Brake Lines ).
Passing the end of the "Back line" through the
small eyelet of the "Front bridal"

Close up of the eyelet which is part of the Front Bridal.

The Same back line will now be connected to the "Back Bridal Point attachment"
after passing through the eyelet.
Use the 3rd or 4th knot from the end.
This photo shows the 4th of the 7.

Sorting the 4 lines.
Lay the bar carefully on the ground. The red side of the bar is the "Left"
side
when the bar is in front of your chest and the wind is at your back.
Set-up: Wind >>> You >>> Control bar.
Red on your left.
After: Lay the bar down, Walk to the Down-wind side of the bar.
Sort the 4 line between your fingers as shown.
Walk toward the kite. Your other free hand should hold all 4 lines
together.

Checking the Front Bridal, to be sure it is free of twists or tangles.

The Trailing-edge of the kite, is shown weighted down with sand.
The Front bridal line, attach in a fan pattern to the 1st 2/3 of the kites
surface.
The rear bridal fans out and only controls the Back (or trailing edge) of the
kite.

The small loop is sewn into the trailing edge of the kite and only used to
secure
your lines for packing up the kite. Here I'm holding the bridal point
attachments
( all 4 , 2 backs, and 2 fronts) in the other hand.

All 4, being secured.

If you carefully slide up the Red quick release,( Part of your
Kites safety leash) it will be easy to understand how its set-up,
and how to re-connect it if you deploy it.
